Excitingly I was back at Longstowe Hall this weekend for the wedding of Hannah and Neil, gorgeous weather, gorgeous bespoke dress with pockets, big fat balloons I could go on but this is just a sneak peek so you will have to check back for the full post later

Amie and Steven – Sturmer Hall

Amie and Steven are getting married at Sturmer Hall in June, it’s a gorgeous venue, and not one I had been to before, so we headed there for their pre wedding meeting and shoot.

Tucked away in a a suffolk village this gorgeous house is now a beautiful wedding venue. with lots of gorgeous spaces for photos I won’t ruin all the surprises for the wedding.

Amie and Steven are friends of Sam and Tony, whose wedding you can see here, it’s going to be so nice to see friends at their wedding, and not only that but Amie and Steven have planned a beautiful relaxed day in gorgeous surroundings.

I can’t wait, see you soon xxx

Kat and James Country Wedding Sneak Peek

There are so many gorgeous details to share, beautiful lovely people, who never stopped smiling and laughing and finally this gorgeous pair!

Winchester Guild Hall

Tina and Ashley were winners of a competition I did in conjunction with Wedding Ideas Magazine, so I think they are carrying a certain amount of luck, because not only did they win their wedding photography package, but also seemed to book the first sunshine of the year for their wedding day. The day dawned with blue skies that stayed all day, and the daffodils and blossom decided to open up in celebration.

The were married at St Peters RC Church in Winchester which is Ashely’s child hood church, and hold their reception at the Guildhall in Winchester. There are some really lovely rooms at the guildhall and I can see why there are lots of functions and weddings there.

So without further ado let me introduce you to Tina and Ashley.

Hannah and Neil – Anglesey Abbey

Hannah and Neil are getting married in a few weeks time at Longstowe Hall, but for their pre wedding shoot and meeting we met at Anglesey Abbey.

The grounds are just beautiful and even though spring is late to the party this year the winter garden was full of colour.

Hannah and Neil have chosen some gorgeous colours for their wedding, so I know we’ll all be feeling much brighter soon

Sneak Peek Claire and James at Barrington Hall

Yesterday was a gorgeous day for many reasons, spring had sprung, truly. The gale force winds and blown off somewhere else.

And there was the beautiful wedding of Claire and James at Barrington Hall.

Claire and James – Anglesey Abbey

Claire and James are getting married this week, yes that’s this week, at Barrington Hall. We never meant to leave their pre wedding shoot and meeting so late, but other events over took us and so we finally got together exactly a week before the big day.

It was very exciting to meet so close to the big day, there’s a buzz in the air and we had plenty of giggles as we ran through the order of the day, and all the plans.

We met for coffee and cake at Anglesey Abbey and then had a wander around the grounds, it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the grounds at Anglesey Abbey are, whatever the time of year you visit and whatever the weather.

We weren’t lucky with the weather, in fact we all got soaked, but that didn’t stop us having a great time anyway.

See it was raining….. have you ever tried to focus on moving rain drops before?!?

Making Cakes and Flowers

Easter weekend saw my friend Ruth and I have a girls day out with a difference. We went off to Violets and Velvet Barn workshop for a cake decorating and flower arranging day. We had an absolute blast with Laura from Love little cakes and having attended one of Sam’s flower arranging courses before, we had another blast with Sam, and were able to bring some knowledge from our previous workshop and whip them up in double quick time. How ever we were much slower at the cake flowers. Here you can see the cakes coming together and the final overall finished items.

If you would like to have a gorgeous lovely time, in a relaxed inspiring place, learn something new, eat some cake and share some special laughs, then I would highly recommend you book up with Sam and or Laura on any of their workshops, so keep you eyes out on their facebook and website pages.

Start assembling the cake with butter cream and jamCrumb coatLeave it to harden off slightly

Jo and Stephen – Botanical Gardens Cambridge

We had had this shoot planned for weeks and weeks, and Jo and Stephen were not going to let a little bit of wet wild snowy weather put it off. So wrapped up warm we met at the Botanical Gardens in Cambridge, which usually by now would be a flood of spring colours, and you might think the white out would mean a distinct lack of any, but if you look there are some gorgeous colours about that we might not have seen other wise.
