Family time at Hatfield Forest

Posted in Random Stuff

As a photographer I find it really difficult to keep up with all the personal images I take, with clients images getting priority. So this year I set myself the resolution to blog them in a timely fashion and that way  I would have to keep up with them. Well I’m not pleased to say I have already failed at the first hurdle, starting off well a couple of months ago I have let things slip on the personal front. But only because I have been really busy on client work, so I am not beating myself up to harshly!

So this blog post starts to put this right, and I will commit again publicly on here to trying to keep up more with the personal photos.

So just before Easter the family came to stay, they are all growing up so fast it makes your head spin. The last time you saw Darcie on here she was just 10 days old, here she is a massive 14 weeks and growing by the second. Esmee is now 2 1/2 and Kai is heading rapidly towards 5. My where does the time go.

We enjoyed a day at Hatfield Forest, a gorgeous National Trust site about 15 minutes from home. With wide open spaces and lots of woodland to explore it’s an ideal location for a day out, designed to wear the little ones out!:)

So here they all are enjoying some sunshine and woodland adventures.

Kai is really turning into the older cousin now, showing Esmee how to smell the flowers and climb trees.

Even with an ice cream in hand (And all over her face;)) Esmee still wants to be doing something, running and exploring or in this instance, running under the bike rack railings so Grandad can’t catch her.

Grandad takes charge of bug hunting, I must point out that neither of the children wants to see dead bugs and so carefully instructed Grandad how to put the log back and keep them safe, how cute!
