Emma and Ed’s Barrington Hall Wedding Cambridge

Posted in Weddings

Where do I start with this wedding? I first met Emma at a Wedding fair in a marquee on probably the worst weather day of the year. Emma wasn’t a bride to be at that point, she creates the most beautiful wedding stationery, bespoke for each client, you can check it out here: A Bespoke Design.

With a low foot fall,  it was blowing a gale and throwing it down like you wouldn’t believe and trust me if I was a bride that day I would have stayed home. It just wasn’t a day to wander around a marquee seeing wedding vendors. More like a day to stay home in front of the fire.

So it gave us plenty of time to chat, and we did, we chatted away and then after the event we hooked up on twitter and then met for coffee and cake a few times and well the rest is history, a firm friendship was born.

Then one day Emma tweeted a picture, a gorgeous huge diamond ring. Ed had taken her away for the weekend and popped the question, whoooppeee a wedding:)

I never expected to be their wedding photographer, in fact when Emma contacted me to do some super quick engagement photos for Essex Wedding Magazine I thought that would be it. It just never crossed my mind.   Working in the industry Emma knows lots of photographers so she could really have her pick, so when they asked me to be their wedding photographer I was blown away.

I knew Emma would be incorporating lots of really different ideas and small wedding businesses in her day and I couldn’t wait. Add to that one of my favourite venues, Barrington Hall and this was going to be a great wedding.

Now the weather wasn’t completely on our side, in fact up until late in the afternoon is was completely against us with the worst rain of the summer but this didn’t detract from an amazing day.

James Pearson a good friend and photographer from Scotland came with me so that we could document the boys and girls separately, thank you James.:)

So check out the custom shoes, customized wedding dress, jewellery bouquet, and fabulous stationery to name but a few gorgeous details.

Oh and then the children’s mad hatters tea party and the amazing band.

Enjoy!
