“We had such a wonderful experience with Hayley Ruth that we have already recommended her to 2 other couples that we know who are getting married next year! From the first time that we met Hayley at the Quy Mill wedding Fayre we were taken with her friendly easy-going, enthusiastic and yet incredibly professional manner. The wedding albums that Hayley had on display showed both the quality of product that she uses and also the style of photography that Hayley offers, both of which stood out from others that we had seen at other wedding fayres. We arranged a meeting with Hayley, who came to our home and discussed our wedding plans and our photographic requirements with us. Having never arranged wedding photography before, my fiance and I asked a few general questions and when Hayley asked us if we had anything else to ask her we said “No we couldn’t think of anything” Hayley said, “Shall I tell you the questions that you should be asking!” and proceeded to answer her own questions regarding what would happen if she were ill or couldn’t get to our wedding for any particular reason, how she has numerous back-up memory cards and means of saving and protecting our images etc etc. These were very important issues which we hadn’t even considered and perhaps wouldn’t have thought to ask about if Hayley hadn’t advised us. Prior to our wedding, we had a pre-wedding shoot, as part of our photography package with Hayley. During this meeting we discussed all about the photographs that we would like to have on our wedding day, and worked out where we would like to have them taken, what style(s) of photographs would we like and had a practice with Hayley taking photographs so that we would know exactly what images we would like to capture on the day etc. From the first time we had discussed these topics with Hayley, Quy Mill had been refurbished (without our knowledge), unfortunately in a way which I despised. Hayley helped us to search and find areas within the building (back up plan in case of rain) that we could use to still capture the atmosphere and images which we had wanted for our wedding and in doing so made me feel much more relaxed and happy about the situation. The day of our wedding was wonderful! The preparations that we had made with Hayley prior to the day meant that all the images we wanted to capture were achieved with minimal fuss and maximum professionalism, leaving us with plenty of time to relax, mingle and chat with our guests, which for us was the most important aspect of our wedding day. Our first view of the photographs that Hayley had taken during our wedding day confirmed that we had made the right choice of photographer – they were amazing. And all our family and friends agree that we have beautiful photographs which represent us and our day perfectly. And now we have a stunning wedding album which Hayley has produced to our design and requirements, which we will cherish for years to come.”

“I’m reminded everyday of how amazing and wonderful our photos are and how happy we are with them. However never more so than at the weekend when I visited a friend to see her recent wedding photos. The photos were so terrible (in comparison to ours). My poor friend probably has 10 – 15 good photo’s maximum (and they’re just close ups). She married in one of Portugal’s most beautiful and oldest monastery’s in the middle of amazing mountains and views. Yet not one photo shows this – honestly, not one. The photographer did not capture the venue, the surroundings or any emotion of the day at all. I can never show her our photos – she’d have a heart attack! Hayley captured every inch of our day, even the little things that we missed. Our photo’s tell the story of our day, whereas my poor friends photos tell the story of a bad photographer that went to Portugal!”

“I have given Hayley 10 out of 10 for everything because that’s exactly what we got! From the moment I contacted her we recieved a professional yet personal service that no other photographer offered. I am a keen photographer myself so put a lot of effort in choosing the right photographer and met a lot before finding and then booking Hayley. We recieved a free pre wedding shoot to get to know her which was invaluable, on the day people commented they didn’t even notice she was there which is exactly how we both felt too. Yet the second we wanted her there she was! Capturing the image we wanted before we knew it ourselves! Nothing was too much trouble on the day and she is just so lovely! After she visited us, helped us sort through the photos we wanted, provided a program for us to play with the design ourselves whilst also helping to design exactly the right album for us by asking us the right questions to get us thinking! Then the actual product… A choice of different style books that were included in the package and a host of optional add ons! She only supplies very high quality books. Being in the binding industry I can spot poor quality… Our book was made in australia to the highest standard. I’m sure it will last more than 50 years! Over all… Exceptional!”

“When we got engaged my biggest concern was having my photo taken, I never like having my picture taken and always end up looking awkward and nervous in photos so choosing a photographer I felt comfortable with was essential. When I met Hayley she was so friendly and warm she instantly made me feel at ease and after our first meeting with her we knew she would be the perfect person to capture our day. From start to finish Hayley was so professional and friendly, when she came to our house for our initial meeting there was no pressure to book and she actually encouraged us to meet with other photographers to ensure that we chose the right photographer for us. We had our pre-wedding shoot at Hatfield Forest which I was extremely nervous about but Hayley really calmed me down and helped me to relax in front of the camera. It was an invaluable experience and really prepared me for the day. After seeing the photos from the shoot Hayley asked for feedback so that she could ensure she got the images we wanted on the wedding day. At the pre-wedding shoot Hayley also booked a date in the diary to show us our images so that we had something to look forward to when we returned from our honeymoon When Hayley arrived at my parents house on the wedding day she gave me a beautiful hanging heart decoration which was such a lovely surprise and a great personal touch. Throughout the day she was completely unobtrusive and we hardly even noticed she was there. She did extremely well at getting everyone organised for group shots especially as we had limited time due to the weather. All of our guests commented on how fantastic she was and how they weren’t even aware she was there snapping away! The day after the wedding we got to see a sneak peek of a couple of the images and were blown away. One of which included her amazing jumping shot of my husband and friends! When we returned from our honeymoon Hayley came to our house to show us our images. She had prepared a beautiful DVD slideshow of our images set to music I was overwhelmed by how amazing the images were and loved every single one. Hayley took time to ensure that we chose our favourite images for our album and was extremely patient throughout the design process. Hayley offered a wide range of beautiful albums and we chose a gorgeous jade folio album. Hayley hand delivered our finished album and we are so happy with it, it’s absolutely stunning. Her attention to detail is second to none, she has obviously put so much thought into everything she does from the wedding gift on the day to the beautiful presentation box the memory card of images comes in. I cannot fault Hayley in any way and am delighted that we chose her to capture our day for us. She provides an excellent personal service and is such an amazing photographer I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award. We have already booked in for a family portrait for my Dads 50th Birthday and will be recommending Hayley for many years to come!”

“HayleyRuth made us feel so comfortable that the photo section of our wedding day was great fun to do. With the pre-work she’d done meeting up with us to discuss what we wanted to do and walking around the venue to discuss locations meant on the day we were at ease with her and the photos flowed naturally and did not take over our day which was exactly what we wanted. She sent us a lovely sneak peak the day after our wedding so that we had a beautiful picture to look at on our honeymoon. Despite the fact we live in London she came to see us to show us the pictures after the wedding. Her attention to detail with this was fantastic. She had all the pictures prepared on a dvd for us to watch with her and then start discussing how we’d like the pictures in our albums. The photos she’d produced were fantastic and the hardest thing to do was to choose between them! As Hayley had got to know our personalities and things we liked and didn’t like over our time of knowing her we were able to discuss freely ideas for the photo albums. She used a great piece of software meaning she could share her drafts of our albums online and we could provide feedback till it was just right for us. Hayley always responded quickly and gave us fantastic memories of our day. I would not question recommending Hayley to any of friends or family she’s a fantastic photographer that makes you feel so special and ensures that she gets to know you so that the pictures she produces are just right for you. We are so happy that we went with Hayley her innovative ideas have given us brilliant pictures to always remember our special day.”

On the day Hayley went above and beyond her role as photographer by turning in to hairdresser and bride dresser! My bridesmaid struggled to do up my dress and Hayley was there in a flash to help aswell, and as my hairdresser hadn’t done what was asked Hayley even ended up curling my hair for me, in between catching shots of the guests on their way to the tower at Leez Priroy, and the photos of flowers/tiaras/perfume/jewellery.
